The annual Cockies v Stockies tournament raised close to $3,000.00 for the Ohakune Kindergarten thanks to the many sponsors, participants, golfers, rural suppliers and the organisation of Raetihi Farm Supplies.



Last Sunday Waimarino wrested the Manson Cup off Taumarunui.


In a hard fought match the locals won 35.5 to 35.0.


 On Sunday, the last qualifying day for the club champs started in rain but eventually the weather turned fine.



In the difficult conditions, Scott Irwin had the best gross score of 80. Tom Spry had the best stableford score with Chris VanderWesthuizen, Andy Entwisle and Robert Edmonds sharing second.


Tai (Anton) Edmonds scored the only two.



Next Sunday is the annual contest for the prestigious Shakespeare Trophy, tee off from 12.30 pm.



The $300.00 stableford jackpot will again be available for the person who scores 2 points on all 18 holes.
